On August 5, 2025, Malaysia's ETS3 first train successfully completed an 8,000-kilometer fault-free operation test. This milestone achievement marks a crucial phase breakthrough in the long-distance reliability verification of the new-generation electric train tailor-made by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. for the country, laying a solid foundation for subsequent commercial operations.
As a key equipment supplier for the project, Beihai Communication was privileged to participate deeply in this important process, providing a complete set of on-board passenger information system solutions for the ETS3 trains. These solutions cover core products such as broadcasting systems, media systems, monitoring systems, AVOD (Audio-Video on Demand) entertainment systems, WIFI network systems, and on-board radios. During the test, these systems operated stably throughout, not only ensuring seamless connection between train communication and safety monitoring but also demonstrating high-quality audio-visual service capabilities in simulated passenger scenarios, serving as reliable technical support for this long-distance test.
To ensure the test proceeded without a hitch, Beihai Communication's project team collaborated closely with CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd., strictly following the project plan to advance various tasks. In response to the characteristics of Malaysia's ETS3 project, multiple rounds of adaptive tests and optimizations were conducted on each system, with stringent standards implemented from hardware selection to software debugging. During the project implementation phase, technical and project personnel were on-site for full-time support, monitoring the system's operation status in real-time. Through scientific and thorough preparations as well as refined operations, they laid a solid foundation for the success of the test.
The successful completion of this test not only strengthens the foundation and accelerates the progress of Malaysia's ETS3 project but also, with the impressive performance of 8,000-kilometer fault-free operation, fully demonstrates Beihai Communication's excellent technical control capabilities and refined operational standards in the execution of international projects.
