The on-board rail solution includes the traditional in - vehicle passenger information system(PIS) and other passenger service systems. Passenger Information System (PIS) is a comprehensive information system that relies on computer network, communication, multimedia and other technologies, takes computer system as the core, and provides passengers with audio and video information services through onboard terminals. It includes broadcasting and intercom system, passenger information display system, video surveillance system and video analysis system. To provide passengers with a more comfortable travel experience, the in - vehicle solution has also been expanded other passenger service systems, which includes passenger counting system, hearing aid system for the hearing-impaired, WIFI system, wireless charging system.

  • Broadcasting and Intercom System

    It provides passengers with voice prompts for train operation information, service information, emergency information and so on. Meanwhile, in emergency situations, it also supports the intercom function between the driver and passengers as well as between drivers, so that the operation status of the train can be communicated in a timely manner to ensure the safe operation of the train.

    The passenger information display system consists of a control host and various LED display screens and LCD display devices installed on the front, sides and inside of the train, providing passengers with graphic and text prompts for operation information, entertainment videos and emergency information.

    Through cameras installed at various positions of the train (such as the cab, saloon, sides of the train, etc.), it provides the driver and the operation control center with surveillance videos of passengers and the environment inside and outside the train to ensure the safe operation of the train.

    The video analysis system makes use of the cameras installed in the saloon and cab. Relying on advanced technologies such as computer vision and artificial intelligence, it carries out intelligent analysis and processing on the surveillance images through image processing algorithms. The system can realize functions such as passenger flow density analysis, passenger clearance assistance, and left-behind object detection, assisting subway operation management and improving the level of safety assurance.

  • Passenger Counting System

    The passenger counting system uses binocular cameras installed above the doors of the saloon and in the gangway areas, and applies 3D depth sensing technology combined with TOF technology to calculate the number of passengers in the saloon in real time. It can provide passenger flow statistics data for train operation management.

  • Hearing Aid System for the Hearing-Impaired

    The hearing aid system for the hearing-impaired applies electromagnetic field induction technology. While broadcasting in the saloon, it synchronously outputs analog audio signals to the audio loop coils arranged in the saloon. Passengers with hearing impairments can receive all the broadcasts on the train through hearing aids or headphones equipped with induction pickup coils.

    The WIFI system adopts 4G/5G vehicle antennas. By accessing public or dedicated networks, it realizes a professional data communication schemes with high bandwidth and low latency, so as to meet the business requirements of wireless Internet access and vehicle-ground wireless communication.

  • Line 1 in Mexico
    As an important artery of urban transportation in Mexico City, Line 1 bears a large passenger flow every day. Beihai Communication has meticulously developed a Passenger Information System (PIS) for 29 newly built trains and 10 retrofitted trains on Line 1 of Mexico City. This system consists of three major subsystems: the Train Public Address (PA) system, the Passenger Information Display System (PIDS), and the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system.
