This represents the 3rd Generation new type meter - gauge electric multiple unit (EMU) independently developed by China. Successively following the ETS (Electric Multiple Unit) and ETS2, this new model is meticulously tailor - made for Malaysia.Designated for operation on Malaysia's West Coast Line, it will shuttle between Padang Besar in the northern - most Perlis State and Johor Bahru in the southern - most Johor State. The line is approximately 950 KM, this line will soon witness a remarkable transformation.Once in service,The train will significantly increase the passenger - carrying capacity and operating efficiency of the local rail transit network, and boost the modernization of Malaysia's rail transportation.
