On July 16th,2023, local time, Enrique Alfaro, the governor of Jalisco in western Mexico, met Zhang Run, the Chinese Ambassador in Mexico, and Lou Qiliang, the president of CRRC. Together, they witnessed a significant progress in the vehicle manufacturing for the 4th LRV line in Guadalajara, symbolizing a new step forward in the practical cooperation between China and Mexico. The governor fully appreciated CRRC's technology and capabilities in providing vehicles and equipment for the project. The ambassador also highly appraised the cooperation achievements between the two sides and was optimistic about the future of the cooperation. The president of CRRC declared that CRRC was committed to scrupulously fulfilling all its responsibilities and contractual obligations. They would ensure on-time delivery, in accordance with required quality and qty. This commitment was aimed to ensuring smooth progress of the project.
In Guadalajara,the 2nd largest city in Mexico,the urban railway construction is booming. As the 4th LRV line in the city, this 21.1KM- long line will connect 3 cities of Tlajomulco, Tlaquepaque, and Guadalajara, with 8 stations. The project includes the LRV design, construction, investment, financing , and part of the system operation. It is invested by the Mexican government, and CRRC is responsible for trains and related equipment manufacturing.
