CRRC Tangshan designed and customized the LRV metro model specifically for Izmir. It adopted the internationally advanced six - axle articulated technology for the first time .The designed speed is 80 kilometers per hour, and the maximum passenger capacity is 1,286 people.
On July 20, 2016, the first batch of 3 articulated metro trains exported by CRRC Tangshan to Turkey successfully passed the end customer acceptance. The picture shows the appearance of the metro. Photo taken by Wu Kechao
It is reported that the first batch of 3 trains exported to Turkey will arrive at the port of Izmir around mid of September. After joint debugging by CRRC Tangshan and end customer, the 3 trains will be put into operation.
